Made this for dinner tonight. It’s excellent. Didn’t add the hot sauce or salt but added pepper. Used 2 eggs and added butter and olive oil to the pan. Had with coleslaw. A keeper.

Have ordered this dish in many Italian restaurants. Been to little Italy in several states, and hot sauce was never an ingredient. I have about a dozen recipes for this dish and no mention of hot sauce. Its a light sauce. I won't be adding any when I make this recipe. That is just my opinion.

Light with good flavors! Didn’t flatten the chicken but did cut thinly. Added rosemary and thyme to the flour mixture. For the butter-based sauce, I also added vinegar for a kick. Served with a side of caprese salad.

Looks fabulous! Curious about sauce though. Yours seems darker and thicker. Looks better than the lemon sauce in the recipe. Did you change it at all? I’m not a fan of lemon 🍋 in chicken. Only fish 🎣 lol

When I googled egg substitute it suggested unsweetened apple sauce can anyone confirm this is what they used in their dish? Thank you.

This is very good! I used almond flour instead of regular flour. The sauce is nice on the chicken but I would like to double it next time!

I made this and I too did not add the hot sauce (must everything be made with hot sauce?). The chicken comes out tasty! However, too much flour. Maybe next time I will only dip in egg and flour once.

Marcy B, you should try the hot sauce with it at least once. I thought it was very good and I am not partial to hot sauce or hot items.
